If necessary, you can remove or peel off some of the cardboard's surface to make it thinner, and do the same on the part of the bellows that needs repair in order to "graft" the desired cardboard piece and restore firmness to damaged bellows without creating extra thickness. This repair process is often made near the bellows' angles.

Fixed with semi-liquid bellows glue (featured below).
