These long, shallow reed leathers are bandoneon-specific (except the 2 larger ones). Like all leathers, they must be chosen with care and possibly cut to the right length. The plastic reinforcement can also be partially or completely cut in order to adjust the resistance of each leather, which has a direct impact on the power of the sound produced.
