The converter bass accordion is the full concert accordion par excellence. On top of providing the same options as a standard chromatic accordion, it also has a switch to convert the left-hand keyboard into a free bass manual for any chord to be formed. These instruments provide the means to play jazz et classical music repertoires without limitation, allowing even the most intricate piano or organ pieces to be played. Moreover, thanks to the bellows action adding an extremely fine touch to the sound, this repertoire is enriched by a new array of expression capabilities. Concert models feature a large number of registers that may resemble those of the organ or the bassoon.
