Which of the diatonic accordion methods would you recommend for a beginner, who has some experience with playing other musical instruments?
I am looking to play French songs from the 1930s.

Hello, To play songs from the 30s, the chromatic would be more suitable, the diatonic methods are more on a repertoire of traditional music. We still have a score in the musette style for diatonic accordion, by the same author as this method for diatonic:
